Frequently asked questions
Where are you based and do you travel?
I’m Staffordshire based but happy to travel. For travelling out of the area I require a 45p mer mile fuel charge or the cost of a return train ticket to where ever you are, whichever is cheapest.
When will we get our photos?
Please refer to your contract. If you order prints and artwork from my gallery store expected shipping dates will be shown at checkout.
I’ve tried to print my digital images online and it says they are low quality?
Please don’t panic! I shoot in the highest possible format and double check image sizing and quality before you receive any. All the images from your shoot can be printed into large wall art. Online printing services struggle to display large quality images and automatically display a reduced quality image, when sent for printing it is then printed at its original size and quality. If you have any concerns about this please feel free to contact me.
Do you require a deposit? And how do I pay?
I require a 50% booking fee for portraiture shoots and 20% for weddings. When you enquire about a booking I will invoice you via email, the invoice will have two different. payment dates, the booking fee which is payment on receipt and the remaining balance to be paid the month before the shoot at the latest. In the event of adverse weather and we have to rearrange the shoot, your deposit will be kept safe and moved to another date. Payment via stripe.

What if my children won’t stand still or look at the camera?
Please don’t worry if your children don’t like having their pictures taken. Having worked with children (I was team leader at the wacky warehouse many moons ago) and having two little girls myself I understand sometimes they just want to do their own thing. I do very minimal posing with children and prefer to capture shots of them playing and being themselves. Quite often they are shy at first so I spend a little time playing games and showing them my camera to try and make them feel more comfortable. I work by prompts rather than poses and will ask them to tell me their favourite joke or give me their best dinosaur roar so I catch those authentic smiles and giggles.
